Simon Bailes Peugeot has agreed a further three years sponsorship agreement which will help members of Grangefield Gymacs perform at the highest level.

The Stockto-based club, which has a twenty year history and around thirty members, is funded solely by entry fees adn all of the coaches and volunteers.

Simon Bailes Peugeot has provided sponsorship for the gymnasts over the past three years and this new agreement will see the car dealership continue to provide vital funding to pay for a range of equipment including tumble strips adn clothing.

Simon Bailes, managing director of Simon Bailes Peugeot, was recently recognised for his work with local sporting organisations after he was awarded the One North East Award for Business in Sport at a regional awards ceremony.

Speaking about his latest sponsorship, Simon commented:  "Grassroots sports are a major importance in the North East and I am passionate about offering my support to clubs, like the Grangefield Gymacs, who have had some major successes in recent months.  All of the staff and young people involved are incredibly enthusiastic about their sport and it is a pleasure to be able to continue working with them in the future to help them achieve their objectives."

Grangefield Gymacs are based at the Grangefield Youth Community Centre in Stockton. Members compete all over the country and a number have reached the British Championship finals.

Tom Syms, treasurer and club coach, added:  "We are delighted that Simon has come on board again as his commitment helps to fund the purchase of leotards, competition and display entry fees plus vital new equipment which we wouldn't otherwise be able to afford.  His support has been invaluable and has contributed towards the team being able to braoden their horizons and compete further afield."
