SIMON BAILES HELPS FULFIL ‘MISSION CHRISTMAS’ FOR UNDERPRIVILEDGED CHILDREN

Added: 07 December 2017

Simon Bailes Peugeot is helping Father Christmas deliver presents to thousands of underprivileged children this Christmas.

The business is again supporting the TFM Mission Christmas Toy Appeal again by acting as a collection and drop off point for toys at its Northallerton, Guisborough and Stockton dealerships until Friday 22nd December.

Last year, the Cash for Kids appeal secured gifts for more than 47,000 children in the North East. The initiative helps children who are often living in desperate conditions, suffering from poverty, living in care or refuges, suffering from neglect or recovering from abuse.

Children are highlighted to Cash for Kids by a member of the local authority and the charity works with social workers, teachers, police and doctors to ensure that it helps those who are in most need. Along with collecting gifts, Cash for Kids raises funds to help secure specialist equipment and adapted sensory toys for children with disabilities.

Simon Bailes said: “No child should go without a gift at Christmas and this initiative is the perfect way to provide support to a family who may be struggling, through no fault of their own at this time of year. I would ask anyone who can afford to buy an extra gift this Christmas to do so and drop their unwrapped gifts into any of our three dealerships at Northallerton, Stockton or Guisborough.

Amiee Littlefair, Charity Manager at TFM Cash for Kids said, “Every year we receive an astonishing amount of applications for gifts and this year we are hoping to help 47,500 local children.

“The support we receive every year is overwhelming and we couldn’t complete our mission without companies like Simon Bailes helping. We appeal to the public to donate new, unwrapped gifts and leave them at one of our drop off locations across the area, or donate funds which will go towards securing specialist equipment for those in need”.
